ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY

The Tokyo International Forum is a multi-use convention center with a variety of performance spaces. The venue is connected to the Yurakucho Line Yurakucho Station and is within a five minute walk to the Hibiya, Chiyoda, Marunouchi, Ginza, and Mita lines. http://www.t-i-forum.co.jp/english/access.html

Parking:

Because of the ease of public transport links, few audience members drive to the Tokyo Forum. There is limited parking available on site, but there is an hourly charge per car and audience members are encouraged to take public transit to minimize road congestion.

Energy:

Hostess has purchased renewable green energy tariffs for the entire Japanese tour.

Recycling:

The venue has a comprehensive backstage and audience area recycling program including paper, plastic bottles, plastic wrap, glass, aluminium, steel, and food waste.

Catering:

Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, cups for all meals. Reusable Papyrustick chopsticks made from 50% or more post-recycled paper content were also provided. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with our refillable water bottles. Food waste was separated along with recyclables for offsite waste processing.

Other green initiatives/issues:

Friends of the Earth Japan will be at each of the Japanese shows in support of the Make the Rule Campaign. For more information or to sign the petition, please visit http://www.foejapan.org/
