ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY
The Blossom Music Center is located in Cuyahoga Falls, 29 miles / 47 kilometers from downtown Cleveland. There are no public transport links.
Parking:
Driving is pretty much the only option to get to Blossom. The venue has a pre-existing car pooling program, but the one road in and out of the venue parking system makes it difficult to offer a truly advantaged carpool lot. For example, many people who carpool choose to park close to the exit instead of the priority spots near the venue entrance.
Energy:
The venue electricity is supplied by Ohio Edison. We are working with the venue to purchase renewable energy for the show.
Recycling:
The venue has a recycling program backstage and throughout the audience area.
Catering:
Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with our refillable water bottles. The Crown Point Ecology Center in Akron, OH kindly accepted the compost scraps from our catering.
Concessions:
The concessions company uses recyclable cups which are recycled by the venue. The housekeeping staff sorts all the audience waste for recyclables.
Other green initiatives/issues:
The venue has installed low flow faucets, low flow shower heads, green hand soap, recycled paper toilet paper and hand towels.
Many thanks to Ron Tynan and Lori Ludeman for their help throughout the day.
