ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY

The Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre is located 16.7 mi / 26.8 km from downtown San Diego. The traffic for this show was particularly heinous due to unanticipated construction on nearby expressways. There is no public transportation system that extends to this venue.

Parking:

The venue setup a priority car pooling parking system for those driving 4+ people per car. There is also bike parking available at the venue's entrance gates.

Energy:

The venue electricity is supplied by San Diego Gas & Electric. Though they have a green energy rebate program to encourage high efficiency appliances, they do not have a green tariff program.

Recycling:

The venue has a full recycling and food waste management program backstage as well as recycling throughout the audience area.

Catering:

Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with our refillable water bottles. Uncooked catering waste was collected and sent to the county food waste recycle center.

Concessions:

The concessions company uses green certified plastic cups which are collected and recycled by the venue.

Other green initiatives/issues:

The venue has installed low flow faucets, low flow shower heads, green hand soap, recycled paper toilet paper and hand towels.

Many thanks to Theirry Gray and Dave Ockun for their help throughout the show.
