ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY

The Molson Amphitheatre is located 4.4 km / 2.7 miles from downtown Toronto. The venue is easily accessible via streetcar.

Parking:

Due to space limitations on the venue site and the ease of public transport links, there was no preferential carpool park for this show. Audience members were encouraged to take the streetcar or ride their bicycles.

Energy:

The venue electricity is supplied by Toronto Hydro which is 97% hydroelectric power.

Recycling:

The venue has a full recycling and composting program backstage as well as recycling throughout the audience area.

Catering:

Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with our refillable water bottles. Uncooked catering waste was composted on site.

Concessions:

The concessions company uses recyclable plastic cups and bottles which are recycled by the venue. All venue waste is sorted for recyclables.

Other green initiatives/issues:

The venue has installed low flow faucets, low flow shower heads, green hand soap, recycled paper toilet paper and hand towels. The venue also has a program to divert 90-95% of its waste from landfill.

Many thanks to Terry Hodgett and Tex Paquette for their help throughout the show.
