ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY

The Comcast Center for the Performing Arts in Mansfield, MA is located 35 miles from downtown Boston. There are no public transport links that run late enough to be used for concert transportation.

Parking:

The venue has a pre-existing priority car pool parking plan for all those driving four+ people per car.

Energy:

The venue electricity is supplied by Mansfield Municipal Electric. They currently have no green tariff renewable energy program.

Recycling:

The venue has a full recycling and composting program backstage as well as recycling throughout the audience area.

Catering:

Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with our refillable water bottles. Uncooked catering waste was composted on site.

Concessions:

The concessions company uses recyclable plastic cups and bottles which are recycled by the venue.

Other green initiatives/issues:

The venue has installed low flow faucets, low flow shower heads, green hand soap, recycled paper toilet paper and hand towels. They have transitioned to water coolers instead of bottled water for all their stage hand drinks.

Many thanks to Audrey Butler and Tim McKenna for their help throughout the show.
