ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY

The Susquehanna Bank Center is located across the Delaware River from downtown Philadelphia. In addition to being a 3 mile drive from downtown Philadelphia, the venue is serviced by ferry, PATCO trains, and NJ Lightrail public transport links.

Parking:

Audience members were encouraged to use public transport instead of driving. Unlike most LiveNation venues, this one charges a per car parking fee instead of building the price into the ticket. Those driving four+ passengers per car were given priority parking spots at the venue.

Energy:

The venue electricity is supplied by PSE & G. The venue kindly purchased a green energy tariff to use renewable energy for the show's electrical consumption.

Recycling:

The venue has a full recycling program backstage and throughout the audience area.

Catering:

Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with our refillable water bottles.

Concessions:

The concessions company uses recyclable plastic cups which are recycled by the venue.

Other green initiatives/issues:

The venue has installed low flow faucets, low flow shower heads, green hand soap, recycled paper toilet paper and hand towels. They estimate approximately 90% of the venues facilities have been transitioned to green lightbulbs and cleaning supplies.

Many thanks to Curt Voss, Brian Lamb, and John Stevenson for their help throughout the show.
